Why should I upgrade?
In order to maintain a stable temperature in a changing world, Bioptechs controllers dynamically change the energy going into the heated system proportionally and inversely with respect to other thermal influences. These influences an be changes in perfusion, surface evaporation, conductive and radiative losses as well as entropy. Bioptechs systems use a highly efficient, conductive means of heat transfer. Therefore, dynamic corrective actions on the part of the controller are immediately noticed in the controlled device. Although dynamic corrections are unavoidable, as a general rule the fewer the better.
This new upgrade will provide the same temperature control as the stock system but enable the system to operate with more consistency and use less time making corrections resulting in more stability in the dynamic mode. Fortunately, the controllers were designed in a manner that permits field upgrades so that it will not be necessary to return them for service.
Bioptechs will perform the modification for any customer that is willing to ship the unit back. Bioptechs will also include bench testing the unit and re-certification at no additional cost if we perform the upgrade. Please contact Bioptechs for an RMA number from the production department before shipping the unit back for an upgrade.

Delta T4 Resistor Pack Upgrade: $150.00 (Domestic US) or 172.50 (International)
Objective Heater Resistor Pack Upgrade: $150.00 (Domestic US) or 172.50 (International)
I want to do this myself, what is involved?
The upgrade is simply a matter of swapping out a plug-in component on the circuit board and removing a resistor. Step by step pictorial instructions are included with the upgrade kit.
